As a third-generation family business, we believe our choices should reflect our values. That’s why sustainability and social responsibility are central to our mission, to protect the communities we serve and the planet we all share. Our approach emphasizes responsible manufacturing and thoughtful material use, ensuring that lasting performance and beauty begin with conscious creation.

Our Sustainable Commitments
At Richloom, sustainability is an ongoing journey and one we take seriously at every level of our business. We are proud to share a few key milestones and commitments that reflect our efforts to reduce our environmental impact and promote responsible design:
Many of our textiles are certified under OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for safe chemistry, and several partner facilities hold STeP certification for responsible manufacturing practices.
Select products support the Global Recycled Standard, verifying recycled content and responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices.
Select products adhere to REACH requirements for chemical safety throughout the supply chain.
We work with partners operating under ISO 14001 environmental management standards, supporting resource efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
We partner with FabScrap to promote responsible textile recycling. By donating excess fabric, we help divert waste from landfills, expand creative reuse, and support a community committed to sustainability.
All Fortress fabrics, and select others, are PFAS-free, supporting healthier and more sustainable project choices. PFAS are human-made ‘forever chemicals that do not break down naturally and can accumulate over time
Reduced energy consumption by over 30% across our facilities.
Committed to reducing material waste by 5% annually across all Richloom locations globally.
We continue to expand our digital library to reduce reliance on physical sampling.
We are increasing our sustainable offerings by 5% annually through more recycled yarns, greater use of solution-dyed fibers, and environmentally friendly C-Zero finishes.
We offer a memo return program at our Clinton, SC distribution center to support responsible sampling. Customers may also upcycle or donate gently used samples to help keep materials out of landfill.
Select fabrics are woven with solution-dyed yarns, a process that uses significantly less water, fewer chemicals and produces less waste than conventional dyeing methods.
MindClick evaluates the environmental and health impact of products in the hospitality industry. Richloom Contract has held Leader Status since 2018, recognizing our performance across products and manufacturing practices.
