Fortress Standard Performance: Ideal for everyday residential upholstery where durability and easy maintenance are essential.

Fortress Solution Dyed: Best for residential interiors requiring enhanced color retention, bleach solution cleanability, and long-lasting performance, including spaces exposed to frequent sunlight or routine cleaning.

Fortress Solution Dyed Washable: Ideal for homes where easy maintenance is a priority, including spaces with children, pets, or heavy everyday use. Recommended for removable upholstered pieces such as decorative pillows, slipcovers, dining chair cushions, window seat cushions, pet beds, and nursery or children’s furnishings.

Solution-dyed yarns are fibers colored during manufacturing (before the fabric is woven) rather than dyed afterward. This process embeds color deep into the yarn, producing rich, long-lasting hues that resist fading from sunlight, cleaning, and everyday wear much better than traditional dyeing methods.

Beyond their vibrant and durable color, solution-dyed yarns offer several important benefits: they improve stain resistance by preventing many stains from penetrating the fibers, maintain consistent color quality across production batches, and contribute to improved overall fabric durability. Additionally, the manufacturing process is more environmentally friendly, using significantly less water, fewer chemicals, and producing less waste than conventional dyeing methods. This makes solution-dyed fabrics a more sustainable choice without compromising performance or aesthetics.

Fortress Core Performance
Using a clean cloth, wipe away any excess liquid or remove loose dirt and food particles. Gently clean the affected area with a solution of mild soap and water. For best results, treat stains as soon as they occur. If a stain has dried before being noticed, use a soft toothbrush to gently loosen and lift the residue before cleaning. For piled fabrics, use a soft brush to restore the pile to its original direction after cleaning.

If needed, use a diluted bleach solution (1 part bleach to 16 parts water) to remove stubborn stains. For best results, treat stains as soon as they occur. If a stain has dried before being noticed, use a soft toothbrush to gently loosen and lift the residue before cleaning. For piled fabrics, use a soft brush to restore the pile to its original direction after cleaning.

For everyday spills, use a clean cloth to wipe away excess liquid or remove loose dirt and food particles. Gently clean the affected area with a solution of mild soap and water. If needed, use a diluted bleach solution (1 part bleach to 16 parts water) for stubborn stains. Treat stains as soon as possible for best results. If a stain has dried, use a soft toothbrush to gently loosen and lift the residue before cleaning.
For a deeper clean, remove the cushion cover and machine wash on a gentle cycle using cold water. A small amount of bleach may be added if needed. Hang dry or tumble dry using an air-only (no heat) cycle. Do not use high heat.

PFAS stands for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, a group of human-made chemicals used for their water and stain-repellent properties. They’re often called “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down naturally and can accumulate in the environment and the human body over time.

PFAS-free means a product does not contain any of these chemicals, which is increasingly important for both health and environmental reasons.
