Office Assistant/Sample Coordinator
Location: High Point, NC
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison between design and sample weaver
- Coordinate samples based on warps in loom and priorities
- Keep log and follow up with sample weaver on sample requests from designers
- Coordinate fabric for finishing
- Coordinate blanket warps and keep track of the inventory
- Cut and label samples
- Set up patterns for line and customer specials
- Responsible for processing and keying all specifications for each pattern/color and any spec changes made to patterns, i.e. backing codes, pattern number changes, etc. after the pattern has been in production
- Create and distribute all costing information
- Re-cost existing patterns when yarn subs are made
- Re-cost existing patterns when price increases are made
- Fill out “Fabric details sheet” as customer request
- Write up and process special requests from customers
- Assist design/sales with customer specials, cutting, labeling, shipping
- Assist design with preparing samples for China and NY office – to assure that NY has representation of what is being designed in NC
- Approve first production against blanket standard: color, construction, and finish
- Assist management with special projects
- Coordinate fabric and record testing results
- Review all test results and distribute to designers when changes need to be made
Required Skills:
- 2+ years experience working in the textile industry
- Experience working with a textile CAD system preferred but not required, can train
- Some technical design experience preferred but not required, can train
- Proactive, positive attitude, and team player
- Detail oriented
